Choosing the right eReader

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is no perfect eBook reader. There may, however, be a near-perfect eReader for you. Since purchasing an eBook reader (particularly for the first time) can be a daunting task, we've worked tirelessly to develop a series of simple and straightforward reviews that are comprehensive but written with the first-time eReader buyer always in mind. We've broken down each eBook reader review into a set of easy to read pros and cons for each device.

Within each set of pros and cons, we take a close look at the most important considerations in each review -- including a device's capabilities, content compatibilities, advanced features, form factor and more.  While you will certainly be able to find reviews out there that go into intense detail about each and every feature, we believe out format and simplicity is our competitive advantage and the reason eBook reader shoppers prefer eReader Leader's reviews.

In addition to our written reviews, we know many of our readers are also visual learners, and we've provided a number of helpful videos that detail the features and design of the latest eReaders.  Sometimes seeing means understanding, when just reading about a feature in a review might very well leave you wondering what the heck that feature actually does.

We've identified a number of key areas that we closely examine in each our reviews. We consider what content a device can display, the qualities of a device's screen(s), performance, wireless capabilities, storage space, battery life, multimedia playback, advanced features that go above and beyond the realm of what can be called reading, and more.

To better understand all of these various features and considerations, or if you've narrowed down your decision to two devices but are having trouble deciding which device will truly be the best pick, be sure to check our comprehensive section designed to help you compare eBook readers.
