If you wish to experience the many joys of eReading but find yourself Kindle-less, rest easy because your BlackBerry can now fill that growing void in your life.

Amazon has developed a freely downloadable app compatible with most new BlackBerry devices (BlackBerry Bold 9000, Bold 9700, Curve 8520, Curve 8900, Storm 9530, Storm 9550, Tour 9630).  The app will turn your BlackBerry into a miniature Kindle, and actually does so with a elegance.

From the BlackBerry Kindle app you can shop for and download more than 450,000 popular book titles.  Unfortunately, at this time, magazines and newspapers are not yet available on the BlackBerry platform.  If you do have your very own Kindle, the BlackBerry Kindle app will even sync up with your Kindle.

The last page you read in a particular book will sync automatically with both devices, making it easy for you to continue reading right where you left off.  Bookmarks and annotations created on either device will even sync up as well.

Not a bad deal eh, particularly given that the app wont cost you a penny. So, head over to your favorite virtual bookstore and get downloading.
